As the primary caregiver to his grandmother when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer, Jarod adjusted his college schedule to night classes to care for her during the day while his family worked. Fifteen years later, Jarod’s grandfather required in-home care, but his career didn’t allow him to dedicate the time he had been able to give his grandmother.

His family turned to home care, building a bond with Eve, their caregiver. Eve remains close with Jarod and his family today, more than five years after the passing of their loved one. Today, Jarod oversees Family Home Care of Central Florida’s team of in-home care staff and continues to support the local community by providing high-quality care.

Janet Gonzalez has been a registered nurse since 2016.  She earned her RN licensure in South Florida, where she graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing as valedictorian. She began her career as a peri-op nurse at Memorial Miramar Hospital and branched out into other areas of surgery such as, general, orthopedic, plastics, OB/GYN, oncology, pediatrics, oncology, neurology and urology. Since moving on from the operating room, she has found her passion in geriatrics. Janet carries a passion for providing compassionate, quality care while advocating for seniors. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her son, Matthew, family and friends and also volunteering at her church.
